Irmach's origins date back to 1998 with the founding of JFJ – J. Ferreira & Jesus Lda., a small company dedicated to the repair and manufacturing of bandsaw sharpening machines, created by José Ferreira.

In the 2000s, with Carlos Rocha joining as a new partner, the company expanded its activities, initiating the development of proprietary machines, international representations, and the reconditioning of equipment for the sawmill industry.

In 2020, Carlos Rocha assumed full leadership of the company and, the following year, founded Irmach – Woodworking Technology, Lda., focusing on the manufacturing of new machines and representing international brands, as well as reconditioning equipment. JFJ continues today to operate in the used equipment market.

Irmach's headquarters remain in Seroa, Paços de Ferreira, in its own facilities covering approximately 5,000 m², where a team of over 30 professionals develops and manufactures high-quality equipment.

With over 25 years of experience and equipment installed worldwide, Irmach establishes itself as a strategic partner for sawmills and other players in the woodworking industry.

Under the registered brand Bartly, Irmach continues to work with robust, innovative solutions tailored to the industrial demands of its clients.
